Sedum cauticola

Stonecrop (Sedum cauticola) Genus:  Sedum This Japanese native is perfect for the rock garden. It is a compact species with blue-green foliage and pink stems, and bears purplish-red flowers in fall. Sedum cauticola grows to about 3 inches tall and a foot wide. Care:  Provide moderately fertile, well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soil in full sun. It is fairly adaptable. Propagation:  Take stem cuttings or root leaves in early summer; start seed in fall; divide in spring. Problems:  Mealybugs, scale insects, slugs, snails.
