Beside growing it from seeds, how does one take cuttings from the Goldlen barrel cactus? Could you give me an exact description? I have been searching the Net, they talk about stem cuttings but considering its shape, I don't understand what to do exactly.

Hi Annie,
Thanx for your question.  The only way you're going to get a good cutting from this type of cactus is from the offshoots that start growing along the sides and base of an adult plant.  I would direct you to the cactus forum for a more substantial answer but this is my experience with cacti.  I hope this helps.
