Question
We had a holly tree planted 3 years ago. We requested a tree that would get red berries.  It gets berries but seem to stay greem. I do remember a few red berries but the stay mostly green is there a soil problem?

Thanx for your question.  It took me a while but I think I found the answer.  It seems this problem you describe may be caused by a gall midge (pest).  Here is a link that explains it in detail.
