Hi Tom,
I'm interested in learning how hard it is to harvest and propagate ponderosa pine seeds.  I live near the site of a large forest fire (2002) area in Colorado and am working to help a camp there reforest.  I understand fall is the time to collect seeds.  Can you make some recommendations how to succeed in propagating seedlings from the pine seeds?

Thanx for your question.  For best results, I refer you to our Tree Expert here at All Experts, Mr. Jim Hyland.  Mr. Hyland spent many years with the U.S. Forestry Service and he is much more qualified than I am to appropriately answer your question.  You can access Jim by going back to Home/Garden and click on Trees and then Click on Trees again.  I hope this helps.
