HI I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT MY LILLY PAD PLANT I NOTICED A WHITE THING HANGING OFF ONE OF THE LEAF'S OF MY LILLY PLANT PAD PLANT IN MY POND ,SO I WENT IN AND TOOK IT OFF IT WAS WHITE AND SLIMY AND IT WAS ATTACHED TO THE LEAF AND KINDA LOOKED LIKE A SQUID CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THIS WAS,THANK YOU .

Thanx for your question.  The thing you describe could be a number of things.  It could be eggs from a snail or insect or small amphibian, it could be a fungus growing on the waterlily, it could be mucous from an animal.  It's hard to say without seeing a picture of it.  If your plant is okay and you notice no other problems, I wouldn't worry about it.  I hope this helps.
