Koi has something wrong with eyes.

Question
I have a large Koi that I aquired a couple of years ago along with 3 others.  This one Koi has always looked blind because of the cloudiness of the eyes.  Now it seems as though there are "bubbles" covering the eyes. There are no other symptoms. He swims and eats just like the other fish. Do you have any idea what these growths are? Thank you, Susie

Answer
Dear Susie,

Thank you for your question.
It is hard to tell from A distance, however it is possible that there is an infection/parasite in the eye.
If so I think in first: DIPLOSTOMUM SPATHACEUM
This parasite will find its way to the eyes trough the skin.
Some other parasites can have this effect also.
If this is the reason of the infection you can buy medice for it.
However for those fish where the parasite reached they eyes its will not be cured.

Hope this helps and maybe you can check on the net if this is the case.

Good luck and kind regards,
Raft
