Massangeana

Question
Hi- I do not know if this plant is considered tropical or not, but I bought a Massangeana Dracaena (Corn Plant) and it was in full bloom when I bought it but it has not bloomed since.  It has been about 3 years with no blooms.  How can I get it to bloom?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Stacy,

Are you sure you have a corn plant? It is very rare that they bloom. Usually they only bloom when fully mature and several feet high. There is no rhyme or reason to their blooming cycle. They could go for years without a bloom and then for no apparent reason start blooming again when you least expect it. There isn't anything you can do, it is the nature of the plant to benave in this fashion.

Regards,
