Dwarf Sago Palm

Question
We have two in our front landscaping and they are starting to get quit large.  Can you trim them back at all without ruining their beauty?

Answer
Hi Jane and welcome, you can trim the lower fronds off show off more of the trunk, but that is about it, there really isn't much to trim on a sago except for its fronds; while on the subject, be aware of aucalaspis scale (white coating like substance that forms on the fronds) this is an insect that if not addressed will kill your sago. follow up if needed...Nick
