ponytail palms, seed staulks

Question
my plant is several years old and recently sent up a stalk which developed small
flowers and now small red seeds. how should this stalk be addressed? the leaves
have drooped and it does not look good. the stalk appears to be drying up but
the seeds hang on. how well do they grow from seeds? thanks for your help.

Answer
remove the stalk with the seeds and let them dry out for about a week then they should be viable enough to germinate in a damp vermiculite or perlite mixture; Pony Tails are very resilient, I can't tell why without seeing it, it is drooping, but as long as its not suffering from root rot, caused by too much water sitting at the base, it should be fine.
