When I returned home today, my lawn man (trying to clean up for Christmas and in a good spirit) TRIMMED MY DWART PALM FORM THE BOTTOM WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AND NOW THE TRUNK IS SHOWING ABOUT THREE FEET.  I am sick!!!!!!!!!!
Will branches grow back on the bottom of am I ruined.  This is in my front yard and I can't explain how ugly it has made the rest of my yard look.   HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Barb, from the beginning, first, is it a Pygmy Date Palm? and if so then the correct trim is to expose its trunk and some of its crown for that matter; it should have fronds hanging at what we call the 9am 3pm angle. followup with me and we will get to the bottom line for this palm. regards Nick
