sea grape tree

Question
I have a beautiful sea grape about 20 to 25 feet from my pool. I know some trees are really bad to have near a pool is a sea grape roots real invasive? or real big and strong enough to up root thick concrete?

Answer
Hi Debbie, that far out should be fine, the farther out the thinner the root system begins, and 20 feet from a Sea Grape shouldn't present any problems, check about 3 feet out from your pool, by digging down a couple of feet to see if there is even any trace of secondary roots, if you find any you will see how flimsy they are and would not be able to compromise your concrete.
