adonidia and foxtail palms

Question
I live in New Orleans,La. and recently planted 2 baby foxtails and adonidia palms. The heat and humidity is very high here and from where they are they are in direct sunlight for a minimum of 8 hours a day. The adonidia and only 1 of the foxtails are presenting with brown spots on the leaves which are turning into holes. To me they look as if they are on the way to a slow death. What should I do? They haven't been in the ground that long and I used fertilizer and water them every other day. Please help

Answer
Hi Tasha, I need more information, who planted them? and when planted, where they planted at the exact height that they came out of the nursery container? this is important, for even a couple of inches deeper and they will slowly decline. The fertilizing wasn't needed yet, so if you did fertilize, I hope you didn't clump it near the trunk, this could also be a factor, if you did. Any additional info you can give me will help, even if it seems inconsequential. Nick
