queen palms and hard freeze

Question
The palms are about 16 feet high, and have been in the ground about 2 years.
It will be another hard freeze 26- for us in the
Pensacola Fl area tonight.  It got to 42 today.
Our palms are looking a little wilted.  We have
rope light wrapped through and around the heart (where
leaves come out of at top of trunk).
Is there anything else we can so for the palms tonight?
thanks so much

Answer
You can wrap the base of the Palm with a blanket to keep the root system from freezing and also water it well , for the water will release warmth as the air cools; other then that, there really isn't much more you can do with a Palm of that size, but Queens are pretty resilient, so cross your fingers.
