Question
We purchased a 3 plant pigmy date palm about six mo ago it is still in it's original pot/container.  We have an overhang that we put up over the plant when it was hot.  The leaves are all turning brown and crisp.  I do have some green growth at the very top but now even the ends of the new growth are turning brown.  I water every day.  What am I doing wrong...

Those containers are nursery containers that are only meant for transporting and temporary storage at the box stores; it is probably root bound and the water isn't getting to the entire root system,,probaby running out the drainage holes before the Palm can utilize it. It really needs to be either put in the ground, or into a larger container with new potting mix.
