Care of Young Tree

Question
I live in SE Michigan and a month ago purchased and planted a maple tree.  I dug a hole twice the size of the pot the tree came in and mixed in a lot of organic soil with the clay from the yard.  Recently, I've noticed that the tips of several of the leaves have turned brown and am wondering if the cause is over or under watering.   Any suggestions.  Thanks.

Answer
The browning could be either watering too much or too little. I would not water more than 1 inch per week. place a pan under the tree and water until the pan has 1 inch of water. Water once a week. IF it rains you won't have to water --let nature water for you.
