Are my trees getting too much water?

Question
I have 3 maple trees in my yard. The soil is clay. All 3 got planted in October last year. 2 are Autumn Blaze and 1 is a Sunset maple. The Sunset maple looks good and up until a week ago the others looked good too. Now all of the leaves are curling under and look wilted. They are still green, but feel soft and mushy. We have received a lot of rain in the past 2 weeks and it has been very windy. Did they get too much water from the rain or is something else wrong with them? One is planted on an incline and the other on flat ground. Any help on this would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

Answer
It does sounds like too much water. The only thing that you can do is just wait and see. There is not insect or disease that will cause this to happen this quickly so I think it is something environmental. By chance did you use  product called Weed and Feed on the lawns--this fertilizer contains a herbicide and will kill trees. It is better to use a liquid herbicide on lawns rather than a granular one. Those two things are my best guess.
