OAK TREE IN FLORIDA

Question
I HAVE A LARGE LIVE OAK TREE 95% OF THE LEAVES ARE BROWN AN FALLING OFF ONE BRANCH HAS GREEN LEAVES IT HAS BEEN RATHER DRY TILL THIS JULY, IS IT DYING OR CAN I SAVE IT. THANKS ALAN.

Answer
It does sound like it is dying but from your description I can not determine from what. I would suggest you call the local office of the Florida Division of Forestry (state agency) and ask one of their Foresters to come out and take a look. This is a free service and they should be able to determine what the problem is and treatment you can take if any to save this tree. Their number should be in the phone book or here is the web link to their contact page.
