browning needles

Question
I have a very young pine tree that I got while in Southern Colorado and have since replanted the pine in Oklahoma.  All the needles have turned brown, could this be because of a change in soil? Is there something I can do nutrient wise that would help? I water the tree regularly but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Answer
It sounds like the roots dried out when it was transported to Okla. form Colorado. Maybe it got hot also. This would have caused the tree to die. The change in the soil should not have had an effect on the plant this soon. Soil may effect the growth of a plant over time and not allow it to grow to the height it normally would but would not cause the tree to die. With out any further details about the species of plant and how it was transported or planted that is about all I could think would cause the problem. .
