daisy trees

Question
i got my grandma a daisy tree for mothers day. do we need to trim it? and is there any special food we need to give it?

Answer
The plant gets its name from the daisy-like flowers that it produces through the year. If you live in moderate climatic conditions you can plant this one in the ground and if you have severe winters it is advisable to keep it in a pot for the winter months at least. This daisy tree needs partial to full sun but cannot handle excessive direct heat. So find it shade if the temperature crosses 100˚F. When moving it into the house in the winter you can choose a less heated location such as the garage. The plant needs uniformly moist water and it should be pruned after the peak flowering period to help it retain its shape.  IF the shape is what you want leave it alone to grow. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer for flowering plants. Follow the directions on the fertilizer and do not over fertilize. Check with your local garden type store for fertilizer for flowering plants.
