Using Roundup on Cypress roots.

Question
We have a water well system and septic system, will using Roundup contaminate our well water?

Answer
No Roundup is a contact type herbicide and does not move though the soil. It affects the green part of the plant when the roundup comes in contact with the leaves. That is why it can be used around plants as long as it does not get on the leaves. It will not move into the soil and the water or septic system if sprayed on the ground. Also the concentration that is used is so low it gets it will not effect the water etc.
