Are the roots of an Italian Cypress strong enough to crack my driveway?

Answer
The roots will not be a problem. They do have rather tight root systems --most trees roots will extend about 1 1/2 times the width of the branches and since these trees are slender the roots do not extend out far. This is one tree that I would say will not give any problems.
