boxwood/japanese boxwood

Question
I have a large number of boxwood that are 14 years old and some less than 3 years old.  I have lost parts of these plants to brown spots that develop and that part of the plant has to be removed ruining the shape.  What can I do to treat the problem.  This has been an issue over the last couple of years.

Answer
Dorinda,

There are several blights and cankers that effect Boxwoods throughout the year. I would recommend taking a sample to your local nursery for them to look at and try to identify the specific disease that is effecting them, they can then give you the correct fungicide to alleviate the problem.

Good luck,
Ed Gulliksen
