something on mini roses leaves

Question
I have a some mini roses, they like heathy but I have noticed these tiny white things on the top of the leaves. They look like tiny pieces of thread. They are all over every leaf. What are they and how do I get rid of them? I have used a 3 in one spray that is a Fungicid, Insecticide, and a Miticide. But it doesn't seem to be working, if nothing else these things seem to be multiplying. What can I do?

Answer
Your three in one spray should have done the job in getting rid of these insects. However insects lay their eggs in the soil at the base of the roses. So you have to spray all around the base of the minis to make sure you also get rid of new insects that are hatching out. Also they will gather underneath the leaves so be sure to spray those too.  That always works if the roses are in a pot. You didn't say whether or not they were potted or in the garden. If they are in the garden I would still spray all around the base and under the leaves. What you are describing are called White Fly and they suck the juices out of rose leaves, and other plants. They may also becoming from other plants nearby so check and see if they are there. Just knock a leaf with your hand and if they are there you should see tiny little white insects flying around. Spray those plants too. Hope this helps.
