disease resistance

Question
QUESTION: i'm designing a rose garden and i would like some help with names for roses that are desease resistance, lots of blooms, and continuance of blooms
ANSWER: There are many disease resistant roses but not all will grow just anywhere. If you tell me what zone you garden in or the nearest major city, then I can give you suggestions that will suit where you garden. Some roses are disease free in one area but not in another so that is why your location is important.

QUESTION: I live in central New Jersey, zone 6

Answer
Most roses bloom is what is called flushes. They have their first flush about 2 months after starting ti leaf out and then the second one 6 weeks later. Rose plants have to have a rest to build up strength to make more flowers so there really isn't any rose that constantly has flowers blooming on it. A general rule of thumb to make sure you get better than average disease resistance, is to buy only those Hybrid Teas and Floribundas that have been bred after 2000. Floribundas give you more bang for your buck because they do have more flowers on them than the hybrid teas. Also modern shrubs will be cleaner and more hardier in your area and they also provide more blooms such as Bonica.
Hybrid Musks are a class that do well in your zone and have little disease on them.
Albas, Gallicas and Damasks the Old Garden roses will do very well, are fragrant and have no disease.
Rugosas roses are literally disease free. Hope this helps.
