Question
I gave a little impromptu lecture on rose rosette disease (RRD)to my garden club since I had sick plant  samples for show and tell.  I was asked a question that stumped me.  Are the Knockout rose varieties resistant to RRD?  I would appreciate your help.  Thank you.

There has been a lot of pure hype about the Knock Out roses but alas they are the same as another all other shrub roses. The only small difference is that they are very hardy and will survive with Black Spot better than some others. If conditions are right they will get all rose diseases including Rose Rosette. As you know the mites are not biased. A rose is a rose to them. Hope this helps.
