Have planted two different types of climbing rose plants in front yard on fence. Growth is tall, green and thick but no flowers. What could be the problem?

Answer
It is normal for climbers to make canes and leaves the first or even second year. It takes the most energy to make flowers so it makes growth at the expense of blooming. This is very normal however some climbers do put out a few blooms the first year. From your description, your climbers are doing very well and you will get lots of flowers. Hope this helps.
