Parade Roses

Question
Hi I have a small rose plant my sister in law picked up for me for Mothers Day. It's called a Parade Rose and it is 2 inches, red flowers and a tag that says Bloom Rite, Nurserymen's Exchange, California. On the other side it says Rosa Hybrida but I can not tell if this is going to survive outdoors. Will it be safe to plant it outside? Thanks.

Answer
It is difficult to know just how a mini rose will do in the garden. It all depends on what you climate is like. I would plant it in a 12 inch pot and place it where it will get about 8 hours of morning sun with not high heat in the afternoon. Keep an eye on it and if you get a cold winter, just bring it into an unheated area for the winter.
