QuestionI have exactly what you described, they are destroying my hibiscus,roses and pepper plants. They came after Wilma.You are the only information I could find after hours of searching. Do you have any more info for controlling this awful pest?

AnswerNo matter what the beetle is or what it is destroying, the routine for getting rid of them is the same. Hand picking in the early morning when they are half asleep is one answer. The other is to use Sevin as a dust on the plants making sure you scatter it all around the base so it kills the beetles when they emerge from the soil. Beetles only last for about 6 weeks and then they go away. Not much hope when they are destroying your garden.
