red spots on my jfk rose petals

Question

my jfk rose
my jfk rose has red spots on its petals and i was wondering is it normal or is there something wrong

Answer
I will have to take a guess as I don't know where you garden. Pink spots on roses are usually caused by a couple of things. One a very tiny little insect called a thrip whch loves pastel colours or it is a discolouration from rain spots and is a fungus. The thrips can be seen when you tap the rose bloom with a piece of white paper. Any rose insecticide for thrips will solve the problem. The fungus won't come again unless the flowers get rain or water on them.
