Hi Lynnette,

Is it possible to propagate roses by cuttings? If so would please tell me what to do? I have a DonJuan that I would like to root if possible by cuttings. Do cuttings grow very fast? Please help.

You can propagate roses from cuttings but like all plants, some will be easy and others will not. If they strike and grow well, they will be about 12 inches in a years time. Then you can put them into a larger pot and let them sit in it for another year. By that time they will be larger and the roots will be strong enough to place in the garden. Here is a website that will guide you through rose propagation. Take at least 10 cuttings, as some will not grow, so best to be on the safe side.
