Name that plant

Question
I bought a plant that I now don't know the name of...  It has palm type leaves but grows cone like flowers..  Would love to know what it's called so I know how to look after it.

Answer
Kim,
It is impossible to identify a plant by a simple description because there are millions that may match that same description.
Go back to the place you bought it and see if they have either another one just like it or take a picture of the plant and see if the people working there know what it is.
You can also go to a database and look for it.Here are a few to go to:Here are some great sources to look at on the web:www.perennials.com,White Flower Farm,Musser Forests,Wayside Gardens, Shady Oaks Nursery,Walters Perennials(or Gardens),Jackson & Perkins,Khelm's Song Sparrow Perennial Farm,Van Bourgondien Bulbs,Van Dyck's Bulbs,Brent & Becky's Bulbs,Plants by Mail,Gardener's Supply Co.,Bluestone Perennials,Sheperds Seeds,Applewood seed Co.,Ball Seed Co.,Genesis Seeds,Ltd.(www.genesisseeds.com),Kieft Seed Co. USA(www.kieftseeds.com),Mountain Valley Seed,Inc.(www.mvseeds.com)

Or,you can send me a photo of it using my email address which is:

Kim,
I just sort of pictured your description in my mind and all I cam up with is perhaps Wisteria which is actually a deciduous vine that grows over arbors or trees or other structures. It is a rambling, old southern plant that you see a lot of around the southern part of the country.Even here in zone 6,western KY where I live. I have one that is a lavender color. Most are purple, blue, lavender or white. Just a thought.
