Fox Gloves

Question
I have my fox gloves growing in bunches.  Now that they are a little bigger should i dig them and seperate them?  and will this make them grow fast and get bigger faster?

Answer
Hi Hollie,
Thanx for your question.  You should thin out your foxgloves when they are still small but you can dig them up now if you think you need to do so.  With more room, the foxgloves will grow bigger.  Some foxgloves are bienniel so you're not going to get a bloom the first year anyway.  If these are second year, I'd leave them alone and allow them to reseed themselves.  If perennial, go ahead and move them.  I hope this helps.
Tom
