hibiscus trees

Question
I have 2 braided Hibiscus trees, I live in Wisconsin. I keep them in my home with plenty of sunshine when we have it. On both of the trees, half of the leaves have fallen off leaving the branches bare while the other half still retain there leaves, will the branches re grow leaves or should I cut those branches? I hate to throw these trees away if there is hope for them.

Thanks

Annette

Answer
Tender Hibiscus are easy plants that have minor setbacks throughout the year.  Fear not. This is the way it is.

These are so easy in fact that people often have trouble keeping them a manageable size.  Are you rotating this plant to make sure all sides get a Sun exposure?  It's very likely the leaves dropped because they did not get the Sun they need for months, especially the leaves that dropped.

Cut an inch off tips of branches to stimulate growth.  Don't throw them away.  Culture as usual.  And stop worrying.  Spring is in the air, high season for Hibiscus.

Your followups welcome.
