Soggy leaves

Question
Ihave two african violets that are developing soggy/water filled leaves on the bottom near the pot.  This just started about 6 weeks ago.  Am I letting them get too dry or are they too wet.  I love both of them and hate to lose either one.  I plan to repot them in the next few days also.  Is this a good idea.  The pots are quite small for the plants.

Thanks,
Brenda

Answer
These were probably over watered at some time.  Just remove the leaves.

Repotting will not help these leaves.  If all or many of the leaves are soggy, the plant probably has root rot and will die, unfortunately.

Remove the plant from the pot and see if you have nice white roots.  If roots are dark, the plant needs to be repotted.
