ANSWER: Hi Linda,
First can you give me a general location?  Bulbs will flower at various times depending upon your weather conditions.  Generally, I can tell you though that in much of the US and Southern Ontario in Canada, tulips and daffodils are great bloomers for April.  In warmer areas, Siberian irises are good bloomer though not really bulbs.  Let me know your general area and I'll see what I can find for you.
thx,
Tom

Answer
Hi Linda,
Thanx for your question.  As soon as your ground is not frozen anymore, you may plant tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, lillies, crocus, crown imperials, brodeia, iris (actually a rhizome).  Most of them probably will not bloom this year.  They like to lie in a cold environment while they are dormant, saving their energy for spring but you may be surprised and get some to bloom if they've already experienced a cold period.  So yes, in a few weeks, plant bulbs to your heart's content, even if you get a late freeze, it will not kill them.  I hope this helps.
