Stephanotis Floribunda ( or jasminoides)

Question
I have Stephanotis Floribunda ( or jasminoides)it was planted a year ago and is lamost 12ft now but it is not flowering it is in nice sunny spot and likes the place

Answer
Hi Tasnim,
Thanx for your question.  First, make sure that the plant is not getting too much nitrogen.  If you have a lawn and are using a lot of lawn fertilizer, make sure the plant doesn't get exposed to the lawn fertilizer.  Use well composed manure from a goat, horse or cow, side-dressed around the plant.  Sometimes it will take a year or two before this plant will start flowering.  I would imagine it should start flowering this season.  Don't let it get exposed to temps below 1C (30F).  Flowering should start from mid-summer to autumn.  I hope this helps.
Tom
