Creeping Juniper and Mondo Grass

Question
My Creeping Juniper and Mondo Grass has grass invading them.  I have sprayed weed killer where there is no plant to keep the weeds (grass) in check.  The problem is I am too afraid to put weed killer near my good plants.  Now no mater how much I hand weed I can not keep the the grass out of the middle and inside of my good plants.  Do you have a solution?.

Answer
Hi Shirley,
Thanx for your question.  Get some Roundup.  Put on a pair of plastic gloves.  Gently pour the Round up into a used, plastic margarine container.  Get a small paint brush and apply the Roundup carefully onto the patches of unwanted grass.  This will kill the green growth and the roots so it won't come back from that clump.  Eventually, the spot treatment will rid you of the problem.  Roundup biodegrades in 24 hours and I know it is not Organic but sometimes a person has to do what a person has to do.  I hope this helps.
Tom
