Can you please suggest a broad leafed palm type, jungle looking plant, frost resistant approximately 18" plus, maximum height 30" for central Florida region for mass planting in island beds.

Hi Lori,
Thanx for your question.  Saw palmettos, European fan palms and dwarf palmettos are all relatively low-growing palms 2-3 feet but can get bigger if allowed.  As for frost resistant, the palms are, it's some of the other things that won't be like caladium, colocasia and dwarf alocasia (all of these can die back if there is frost.).
