There are what appear to be small patches of mold on the flower part of the orchid...What is that from and what is the resolution?

Small patches of mold on flowers could be botrytis fungus.  Are they black and sooty looking?  If they are, it probably is botrytis.  Botrytis appears almost overnight when drops of water are allowed to remain on the flower overnight, for this reason it is best to do any watering or misting in the mornings to allow sufficient time for the water to evaporate before nightfall.
