New groth on stem

Question

Orchid
Hi again!! Sorry I forgot one thing in my last question. Aside from the two new flowering stems at the top, there is another growth. This one is different. It began to grow before the others and it is growing very very slowly. Can you tell me what it is? I have attached a picture. Last but not least, how do I know that my orchid is on the road to recovery? How can I find out if it is growing new roots? Thank you so much for your time, Caroline:)

Answer
Hi again Caroline,

I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what that growth is on the stem, it doesn't quite look like a new stem or a new baby plantlet.  It might be one of these but it will take a while longer until things clear up.  Keep an eye on it for another month or two to see what it does and when it begins to look like something more definite, send another photo of it and I'll try to figure out what it is.  Fair enough?

Sorry I couldn't help more at this time.
