My spider plant

Question
I placed eight spider plantlets in a six inch pot because I was told that this is a way to force the offshoots to grow.  In your experience is this the method and if so, since they are babies how long before they develop offshoots?

Thank you

Answer
Sabrina,

Well, I hope there was also fresh soil in the pot! Yes that is exactly what I would do. Fertilize once a month and do not repot and they should have babies in 12 - 18 months. Probably closer to 12. They will not send out babies until they are mature and rootbound. With 6 in a 6 inch pot that should happen in about a year. Good luck.

Darlene
