what is leaf node

Question
Hi leslie;
I have tried to  not look too stupid, so I have searched the
internet in order to find out exactly what a leaf node is.  Cannot
find out to my satisfaction.  You had
previously said that i should cut back my leggy jade to a leaf
node. Help. Please tell me exactly what a leaf node is.
Thanx again for your help.
Peter
p.s. - love my floralights - the growth is wonderful.

Answer
Hi Peter
That is not a stupid question at all!  A leaf node is where the leaf is attached to the stem.  This way, a new set of leaves will grow from that area, which will make the plant fuller.  Also, when rooting a cutting, the node is where new roots will grow from.
You are so right about the floralights-my dad and brother swear by them!
Thanks Peter and let me know if I can answer any other plant questions for you.
Leslie
