This plant has three leaves...

Question
This plant has three leaves only at the end of each longish stem.  The leaves are each triangular in shape with a vein down the middle of each trianglular leaf.  The 3 leaves are joined together, sort of like a windmill shape.  It is fragile looking but quite hardy, seeding itself a lot.  The plant has a small bloom (white I think) and the leaves close at night.  The 3 sides of the leaves are just under 1 inch.  Any idea what this is?

Answer
Hi Lynne,

I believe you are describing an Oxalis regnelli, sometimes called shamrock.

If this is not what you have, please let me know how yours differs. If you need care instructions let me know.
