Dear Mr. Creed,

I'm wondering if you could give me information on the general care of fuzzy-leafed plants.  My AV does well but I have difficulty with begonias and gloxinias.  Do these plants share enough in common to require similar care?  Thank you for your time.

Dear Marilyn,

Fuzzy-leafed plants have the following things in common:
   1. Fuzzy leaves

African violets, strawberry begonias, purple velvet plants, and Gloxinias all have very different requirements. The fact that your AV does well, but your begonias and Gloxinias do not reflects that horticultural reality.
