leaves turn brown

Question
Hi, I have had this ponytail palm for almost one year.  In the last month or so the leaves have started to turn brown, not all of then, but many of them.  It gets indirect light, and I water it only when the soil dries out.  The bulb is not soft, and it doesn't LOOK sick.  I just don't know what could be causing this malady.  Even some of the "new growth" has turned brown.  I thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Answer
Patricia,

It needs sun, not just indirect light. It needs to sit by a south facing window with nothing between it and the glass so it gets as much sun as possible. Get it more sun and it will be fine. In the summer mine goes outside in full sun anbd it is very happy there. Good luck.
