totally brown leaves

Question
I have the arabic coffee plant and for awhile now it has been getting totally brown leaves. I removed to a little darker area thinking it was getting too much light,(it was in morning light). About 2 weeks ago I noticed that my Peace Lily, that is a short distance away is also getting it. I have looked all over the internet as well as in books and can find no disease or condition that is the same for both. The lily was doing great till I moved the Arabic. I do remove the leaves caarefully with scissors and destror them. Thank you in advance.

Answer
Hi Carrie,

Your information is sketchy so I don't know what part of the leaves are browning and whether it is mostly happening to older or newer leaves. Some photos sent to my address below would be helpful.

Nonetheless, I don't think it is a light problem, as Coffee plants do best in an east window where they get a few hours of morning direct sun each day. That leads me to suspect that watering is the problem. You didn't report anything about your watering routine, so it is hard for me to know. In general, when properly potted, a Coffee plant should be watered when the top half-inch of soil feels dry.

It is not clear just what light exposure your peace lily is getting and how you are watering it, so I cannot say what it's problem is, but I don't think that the problems of the two plants are related.
