Plant growing funky.

Question
Hi. I have a umbrella plant of some sort that I have had for almost 4 years. It has between 6 to 8 green-light green leaves on each stem coming from one main trunk (if thats how its said). My question is it comes out of my 8" pot about 5"s or so and then curves for about a foot or more then looks like it might try and curve back the other way. is there anything I can do to straighten this or is it even hurting the plant at all. It's primary source of light is from a 60 watt light that is right next to it which i'm sure was my fault in not turning the plant around from time to time to give it more even light as it grew.
thanks for your time and any info you can share.

Answer
Keith,

It is trying to lie down on its deathbed! A 60 watt light is not enough light for it to survive much longer. I am very surprised it has lived that long! It needs a sunny window, preferably south facing, east or west is second choice. Give it more light then turn it regularly when you water it. Pinch the growing tip out and it will send out side shoots and become a lot bushier plant! Good luck.
