Fern - how keep healthy and green

Question
Hi, I have a new, beautiful, green fern, 6 inch pot, very healthy looking.  i will water when the soil is dry to the touch. also using a liquid plant food, 7 drops to quart of water each time i water. will mist daily. sits in a window with indirect, but good morning sunlight.  how can i keep it green and healthy and not have it dry up and go bye bye.
Thank you.

Answer
John,

The best way to keep it healthy is to put it outside where it gets a lot more humidity.  It loves humidity of 50% or more. It also gets night time temperature drops and morning dew. It likes the wind blowing through it's fronds.

When you mist it dries in about 20 minutes and then the air is dry again, especially if you are running an air conditioner.

You just can't beat the outdoors in summertime for ferns. Good luck.
