Palm regrowth

Question
I have a palm that did not survive a recent move well.  The leaves went all brown from too much sun exposure.  My mother thinking she was helping cut all the leaves off and now I have a tree trunk in a pot.  Is there any way I can make the palm sprout again or is the trunk doomed for the dump?

Answer
Wendy,

It depends on what kind of palm it is. Do you know? If so please send me the name. Can you send a picture of what is left to me at [email protected]? There is always a chance that it will grow back.  Put it in a location with lighting similar to what it had before the move and treat it like you always have. It could take up to 3-4 months for it to send out new shoots. Be very careful not to overwater it or underwater it. How long had you had the plant before the move? Let me know and I will try to be more helpful.
