String of beads plant

Question
You answered my question but brought up another.  You said to repot the plant.  Should I still repot it even though the stems are brown and brittle from too much water.  Won't they just break off and die even if I cover them with new soil.  The strings are still green with beads on them it is just the part of the stem that goes into the soil that is dead or rotted.

Answer
Carol,

If all the stems are brown and brittle then don't bother but take the green stems that are left and clip them off where they are green and dip then in rooting hormone (available at any garden center) then pot them in sandy cactus soil and hang in a very sunny window. Just get it into sandy cactus type soil, into a sunny window and don't overwater. They will grow new roots if given a chance and will live if not overwatered in the future. Good luck.
